The Burning Continues

So, for the past 2.5 months I have been working at a "top 100 best company" to work for. One month into it, they had a major restructuring. Actually this meant major layoffs. OK, so I made it past the axe. Everything was going well...for a short time. Then, they decide to re-write my job description, and proceed to tell me that I am not qualified for the job. They added responsibilities that I have not been trained for. But those responsibilities are only 1/3 of the job.   I've been doing 100% of the job with no problems. Under this new description, I was doing 2/3 of it. So now you are hiring someone you think will be able to do the job?
You know, you will have to train them on 100% of the job.

Train me on 1/3 of the job or train the new guy on 2/3 of the job. (Hopefully the new guy knows the new 1/3 job requirements)

Yeah, that was a smart move.

=========={ }=========

Yes dear reader(s), they will have to train the new guy on 100% of the job. I know this for two reasons:

1) One of the softwares they use only works under WinXP. It never got an upgrade and according to them, there is no other alternate software to replace it. The odds are great that this person has not used it.

2) My manager tells me that she does not know all of the new responsibilities in this job that she is managing. So she will have to be trained on them.
Why couldn't you just train us together? Hmmm, frustrating.

Changing the rules of the game after I commit to playing it, is not cool.

Anyway, there you have my latest update...unemployed again.
